ConMet in Monroe, NC is seeking an engineering professional to maintain and improve current manufacturing processes on mass production lines. You will lead programing and fixture design for new parts, set up and validate processes, and optimize machine utilization with a focus on cost reduction and safety.
The role requires hands-on experience with AutoCAD/Creo, SPC and GD&T, lean manufacturing, and data analytics.
Responsible for maintaining current processes by keeping programs and set up documents up to the current revision level. Responsible for programing and fixture designs and flow for new parts, initial setup and validate new processes. This involves overseeing the efficiency and safety of our current manufacturing processes, as well as developing new processes to improve manufacturing efficiency or decrease costs. Needs to be an expert with regards to production equipment and understand how to operate, change the settings, and optimize machine utilization.
