Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC in Lynwood, CA, is seeking an organized professional to review customer specs, set up new processes and close gaps with existing practices. You’ll optimize tooling, throughput, and costs for painting packages, while coordinating with planning to ensure accurate work orders and new technique cards.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience and knowledge of CAD and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer specifications to set up new processes and identify gaps.
  • Manage process optimization for tooling, throughput and cost analysis.
  • Oversee first article qualification for time optimization and pricing.
  • Schedule all new customer orders and packages.
  • Coordinate with planning to create detailed work orders and new technique cards.
  • Perform regular gap analyses on new revisions to current processes.
  • Lead project management to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Use SPC tools to evaluate risks when setting up or changing processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines and goals are met.
  • Set objectives for each project and communicate expectations.
  • Schedule meetings, procure assets, and liaise with departments to meet objectives.
  • Create and revise internal processing procedures and quality work instructions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Reviewing customer specifications for detailed requirements to set up new processes or establish gaps between current practices and specification requirements.
  • Manage process optimization in regards to tooling, throughput, cost analysis on new/existing packages, and cost reduction on paint.
  • Oversee first article qualification to ensure time optimization, pricing evaluation and proper engineering.
  • Responsible for scheduling all new customer orders/packages.
  • Coordinate with planning for the creation of accurate and detailed work orders for all new and existing orders along with the creation of new technique cards.
  • Perform regular gap analysis of customer specifications for new revisions being released for current established processes.
  • Perform project management to meet required goals and deadlines.
  • Use Statistical Process Control tools (e.g. Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, Pareto, etc.) to evaluate potential risk when setting up new processes or reviewing changes to current processes.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other project team members to ensure continuous success in meeting required deadlines and product goals.
  • Establish objectives for each individual project assigned to ensure that the team members have a clear understanding of expectations.
  • Schedule required meetings, procure assets required, and communicate with required departments to ensure objectives are met.
  • Create and revise internal processing procedures and quality work instructions for performing quality control tests

Education:
  • 1 – 2 years of experience
  • Knowledge of CAD and blueprint reading

  • Pay Range: $49,350 - $70,350
