Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Delivery/Operations professional to define and manage the Target Operating Model for Data Center Compute Services. You will drive end-to-end workflows for provisioning, lifecycle management, and patching, while aligning with ITIL and security controls.

The role requires collaboration across Data Center Operations, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Teams, and Cybersecurity to optimize capacity and automate using Terraform/Ansible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Strong understanding of data center operations and ITIL processes.
• Experience with capacity planning and asset lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Define Target Operating Model (TOM) for Data Center Compute Services.
• Develop end-to-end workflows for server provisioning, VM provisioning, and OS patch management.
• Establish governance with KPIs, SLAs, OLAs, and risk/compliance controls.
• Collaborate with data center operations, infrastructure engineering, cloud teams, and security.
• Drive automation using Terraform and Ansible; enable self-service where possible.
• Create process maps (SIPOC), RACI matrices, and runbooks for operations.

Process Design & Architecture

• Define Target Operating Model (TOM) for Data Center Compute Services.
• Develop end-to-end workflows covering:
• Server Provisioning
• Capacity Management
• Asset Lifecycle Management
• VM Provisioning & Decommissioning
• OS Lifecycle & Patch Management
• Hardware Refresh Programs
• Incident, Problem & Change Management
• DR and Business Continuity processes
• Create L1-L4 process maps, SIPOC diagrams, and RACI matrices.
• Establish standards, policies, SOPs, and operational playbooks.

Compute Product Line Management

• Build operational frameworks for:
• Physical Servers (Dell, HPE, Lenovo)
• VMware/Nutanix/Hyper-V platforms
• Private Cloud Platforms
• AI/HPC Infrastructure
• GPU Clusters
• Container Platforms (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
• Define service catalog and service consumption models.

Automation & Process Optimization

• Identify opportunities for automation and self-service.
• Work with engineering teams to implement:
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Automated provisioning o Workflow orchestration
• AI-driven operational monitoring
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency.

Governance & Compliance

• Establish KPIs, SLAs, OLAs, and operational scorecards.
• Ensure compliance with:
• ITIL
• ISO 27001
• SOC Controls
• Security & Risk guidelines
• Support audit readiness and operational reviews.

Capacity & Lifecycle Management

• Define capacity planning processes.
• Develop forecasting models for compute growth.
• Establish refresh, retirement, and migration frameworks.
• Optimize infrastructure utilization and operational costs.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with:
• Data Center Operations
• Infrastructure Engineering
• Cloud Teams
• Cybersecurity
• Service Management
• Application Owners
• Facilitate workshops and process governance meetings.
