Job description

The Process & Standards Specialist is the architect of operational excellence within the organization. This role is responsible for designing, documenting, and maintaining the frameworks that ensure our workflows are efficient, compliant, and scalable. You will act as the bridge between high-level strategy and daily execution, auditing existing systems to identify bottlenecks and implementing standardized solutions that drive consistency across departments. The ideal candidate is a meticulous problem-solver with a passion for continuous improvement and the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, actionable SOPs. Success in this role requires a blend of analytical rigor, exceptional communication skills, and the influence to lead organizational change.

There is a 25% travel requirement.

What you'll be doing
  • Partners with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and that are consistent with Winning Together values.
  • Lead the creation and continuous refinement of the master RDD Deployment Methodology Playbook.
  • Develop, release, and maintain standardized program assets, including Project Charters, RACI Matrices, and Standardized Bid Intake Documents.
  • Act as the administrator for the single source of truth for all program artifacts, ensuring strict version control and accessibility.
  • Manage the Process Change Request (PCR) lifecycle, evaluating field-suggested improvements and integrating them into the global standard.
  • Serve as a key member of the Enablement Council, reviewing process deviations and identifying areas where the standard must evolve.
  • Partner with the Training & Competency Specialist to ensure all training materials are perfectly aligned with the latest version of the Playbooks.
  • Work with the Quality Control Specialist to embed In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) checkpoints directly into the deployment workflows.
  • Execute semi-annual "pruning cycles" to remove legacy or inefficient processes, keeping the operating model lean and high-velocity.
  • Conduct audits of active sites to verify adherence rates to internal project quality control checkpoints and the RDD standard.
  • Embrace and support Computacenter’s mission and core values.
What you have
  • A bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in datacenter deployment, hyperscale infrastructure, or complex industrial construction environments.
  • Minimum of 3 years dedicated to process improvement, technical writing, or operational excellence roles.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Expert-level skill in tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro.
  • Deep understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or Total Quality Management (TQM) principles.
  • Ability to interpret operational data using Excel (pivots, VLOOKUPs) or BI tools to justify process changes.
  • A "systems-thinking" mindset—the ability to see how a change in one area ripples across the entire organization.
  • The ability to explain complex tasks in simple, jargon-free language.
  • An uncompromising eye for consistency, formatting, and logical flow.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to drive adoption of new standards without having direct vertical authority over all teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple improvement initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Must provide strong leadership including vision and promoting/leading change.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Professional self-starter, with ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical Engineers and sales Account Executives effortlessly.
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team that includes all levels of the organization.
