Process Engineer is responsible for providing management of assigned engineering design projects applying analytical, evaluative, and constructive expertise to new and existing systems seeing them to completion. About 10% of local and overnight travel is expected.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- 1. Participate in the design, planning, and over overseeing construction of equipment to ensure the products meet performance requirements.
- 2. Participate in the design/drawing review and approval process.
- 3. Prepares and communicates project schedules and timelines
- 4. Performs all necessary calculations such as pumping and piping systems, thermal heat transfer, and general fluid dynamics.
- 5. Interacts with customers on engineering design and any questions/concerns they may have.
- 6. Drafts and revises details for piping and mechanical systems
- 7. Assure detailed and accurate shop drawings for each job.
- 8. Review and assure accurate bills of materials for each job.
- 9. Serves as engineering liaison with Production Manager on manufacturing and design issues.
- 10. Works with production and engineering team to improve designs for efficiency, reliability, performance, ease of servicing, and value.
- 11. Working knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting equipment.
- 12. Working knowledge of control systems and software used.
- 13. Manage the engineering documentation process for internal purposes.
- 14. Responsible for all necessary vaccinations including tetanus, Hepatitis-B, meningococcal, and TB with documentation of such on file.
Basic Qualifications and Competencies
- 1. Auto-CAD and 3D design (Inventor)
- 2. Drafting
- 3. Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to become proficient in Company database systems.
- 4. Understanding of company, state, and federal policies and regulations.
- 5. Solid problem solving, analytical, and decision making skills.
- 7. Ability to work independently and as a team.
- 8. Good written and verbal communication skills.
- 9. Ability to communicate professionally with customers and people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
- 10. Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- 11. Available for local and overnight travel.
Required Education and Experience
- 1. High School diploma or equivalent
- 2. Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 4. Combination of education and experience considered.
- 5. Customer service experience preferred but not required
- 6. General office experience

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in an office, job shop, or job site. Travel to job sites may be required. There may be occasional exposure to elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, and cold. Possible exposure to hazardous, infectious, airborne pathogens; immunizations required. While performing the duties of this job, several ADA guidelines may be followed.
