Job summary

Aerofab Division of Tube Processing Corporation is seeking a senior Process Engineer to develop, document, and implement procedures for assembling, processing, testing, and manufacturing complex sheet metal fabrications and machined assemblies for aerospace and land-based industries.

The candidate should have at least 7 years of aerospace engineering experience, strong blueprint reading, GD&T, and specification interpretation skills, and proficiency with Siemens NX or AutoCAD, plus MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Four-year engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Seven years minimum aerospace engineering experience required.
  • Strong background in blueprint reading, GD&T, and specification interpretation.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD (Siemens NX) or AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Develop written processes from customer drawings to meet blueprints and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to identify process improvements and solutions.
  • Manage product life cycle from PO receipt to shipment including BOMs, tooling, routings, and shop support.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers, relay technical information, and provide program management support.
  • Follow quality system procedures as required.

Job description

A Process Engineer is responsible for creating, documenting, developing, and implementing procedures used to assemble, process, test and/or manufacture complex sheet metal fabrications and complex machined assemblies for the aerospace and land-based industries. Please note that we are seeking a senior team member with at least 7 years of aerospace engineering experience.

Essential Job Functions
  • Develop written processes in accordance with customer-supplied drawings to produce end product that meets blueprint and quality requirements
  • Work with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing groups to identify needs for process improvements and provide engineering solutions to identified problems
  • Responsible for product life cycle from PO receipt until the shipment of end product. This includes bill of material creation, tooling development, creating and maintaining shop routings and operation sheets, providing shop technical support through the development and production cycle while maintaining quality requirements. When necessary, provide interim maintenance to already developed product
  • Ability to communicate with both internal and external customers, relaying technical information and providing program management support
  • Follow quality system procedures as required
Requirements
  • Four-year engineering degree or equivalent
  • Seven years minimum of relevant aerospace engineering experience is required. Tool design experience would be beneficial, but is not required
  • The ideal candidate must have a strong background in blueprint reading, GD&T, and specification interpretation
  • Must possess either 3D (Siemens NX) or AutoCAD experience
  • Must possess knowledge of Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
