Job Overview

Responsibilities
  • Define and resolve process problems through individual and team-based continuous improvement activities and structured problem-solving methods.
  • Develop standard work and ensure operators and supervisors are engaged and trained in running plant processes consistently.
  • Commission new production equipment and processes, monitor modifications, upgrades, and troubleshoot existing processes.
  • Work closely with the Plant and Maintenance Superintendents, Plant Engineer, and HSE Coordinator to monitor and improve the efficiency, output, and safety of the plant.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Engineering Team to ensure compliance with Corporate Process Standards, execute strategic initiatives (e.g., center lining), and resolve process issues.
  • Make observations and take measurements directly; collect and interpret data to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership for environmental monitoring and ongoing performance of plant environmental controls and processes.
  • Work closely with operators and staff who oversee quality control of raw materials, finished products, plant maintenance, product specifications, and production schedules.
  • Identify root causes and recommend appropriate corrective actions proactively.
  • Prepare and submit routine reports, and manage related action plans accordingly.
Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5‑10 years of related hands‑on work experience in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record of measurable results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic detail and conceptual design skills.
  • Experience with project management and implementation from initial planning stages to completion.
  • Lean Six Sigma skills and experience preferred; Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Advanced analytical skills and creativity in solving problems/troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple short and long‑term projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), with the ability to effectively work with others in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
