Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer to lead the EBPVD team and drive coatings processes. You will manage Engineering Technician(s), ensure on-time, on-budget progress, and design tooling for new products and process improvements.

You will document progress, communicate results, and influence colleagues beyond your team to advance company goals. Strong hands-on and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, materials, or chemical engineering with 4+ years in thermal barrier coating operations or related processes.
• Alternative: 12+ years of related experience; equivalent education/experience considered.
• Ability to combine theoretical training with practical, hands-on work.
• Self-starter capable of managing projects with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of quality control systems; LEAN/Six Sigma belt is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will manage Engineering Technician(s) in the EBPVD department
• Further, you will ensure successful completion of assigned project phases within the budgeted time and cost constraints
• Additionally, you will design and modify tooling / fixturing for new product introduction and improvement of existing processes
• You will prepare appropriate documentation, reports, and summaries to communicate project progress or results
• You must be capable of positively influencing those that do not report to this position in an effort to achieve the organization's goals

What makes you great

• You will need abachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials, or chemical engineering AND 4+years of related experience, in thermal barrier coating operations orprocesses/equipment typically used in a coatings-manufacturing environmentOR 12+ years of related experience. Equivalent combination education and experience will be considered
• You must have a provenability to combine theoretical training with practical experience in a"hands-on" environment
• You must be aself-starter able to manage projects with minimal supervision
• In this position, youwill need personal computer proficiency, business administration know-how,and a working knowledge of quality control systems
• If you have a LEAN/SixSigma green belt or black belt, that is not required but a plus
