Job summary

Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze data to support critical decisions and drive cost‑reduction activities.
  • Resolve capacity and CT related issues, including redundancy, target reduction, sample plans, and RPT issues.
  • Monitor equipment usage and production efficiency to maximize output and turnaround.
  • Provide QDR documentation and proactive follow‑up on issues.
  • Respond to chronic SPC performance issues and lead root‑cause resolution.
  • Offer troubleshooting support for complex process problems and address root causes.
  • Maintain quality processes of daily operations, communicate process holds, and formulate action plans.
  • Ensure matching and releases for process consistency.
  • Effectively plan required capacity and product mix to meet projected variance.
  • Provide guidance to resolve equipment issues and participate in key problem resolution.
  • Manage projects to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget; track actions and provide escalation pathways.
  • Drive shift teams to focus on priority issues and maintain project scope.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings, initiating follow‑up actions.
  • Support business processes for new tool installations and modifications.
  • Follow up on safety and quality issues immediately; perform audits and submit safety good catches.
  • Implement change‑management practices to meet safety and quality expectations.
  • Maintain documentation and reaction mechanisms for shift teams; update content as needed.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs for defect reduction and yield improvement.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and area leaders to set personal performance and development goals.
  • Communicate daily priorities and issues with MDE shift and Shift Ops leaders.
  • Participate in DAM, TPM, SPC, Transfer, and other meetings.
  • Work with equipment engineers and shift engineers/technicians to gather input for area improvement.
  • Track and control tool process issues to maximize tool output.
  • Communicate changes, yield impacts, and potential process holds to relevant stakeholders.
  • Partner with Process Development Engineering, Process Integration, and Shift Ops on process issues and changes.
  • Ensure existing process holds are minimized and communicate impacts to Shift Ops and SOT Area Managers.
Qualifications
  1. Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  2. Experience with process flows related to area and support equipment.
  3. Knowledge of fab process areas and area processing equipment.
  4. Understanding of SPC principles, theory, and film deposition metrics.
  5. Familiarity with DRAM function, probe, and param testing.
  6. Data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills.
  7. Application of chemistry, material science, and semiconductor fabrication knowledge and coursework.
