Job Description:

Operability Assessment Engineer

This role involves assessing Hazard Operability (HazOp) studies, evaluating safety relief systems, and ensuring facility modifications are scoped and implemented effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• HazOp Studies: Assess HazOp studies to identify operational hazards and recommend necessary facility modifications.
• Relief Sizing Evaluation: Assess and ensure the capacity of relief devices to prevent equipment overload, managing a database of safety release architecture.
• Scenario Analysis: Evaluate "what-if" scenarios, provide recommendations, and produce documentation for future prevention.
• Drawing Updates: Ensure drawings (MFDs, PNIDs) are up-to-date and accurately reflect field conditions.
• Facility Modifications: Scope and estimate time for piping modifications and equipment re-rating.
• Documentation: Produce required documentation to support process safety and facility modifications.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: Significant experience in fixed equipment and process safety, with a focus on overpressure protection scenarios.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD for redlining and updating drawings. Familiarity with digital twin technology.
• Knowledge Areas: Strong understanding of safety relief systems, drawing updates, and facility modifications.
• Constructability: Experience in assessing constructability, costs, and feasibility of modifications.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with software used for re-rating equipment (specific software knowledge is a plus).
