Job summary

10x Genomics is seeking an outstanding Scientist to join the Process Development team to support development and commercial launch of new products. You will work cross-functionally with Chemistry, Microfluidics, Custom Plastic Consumables, Assay Development and Production to develop, validate and transfer new chemistries and processes for producing reagents and consumables.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with 0–3 years industry experience.
Ability to integrate a broad range of scientific and engineering disciplines.
Ability to design meaningful experiments and analyze results using statistics.
Strong documentation and communication through presentations and reports.
Understanding of physical chemistry principles to scale up manufacturing processes.
Ability to develop, validate and transfer processes to manufacturing or OEM vendors.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Desire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization with a compelling technology.

Responsibilities

Develop understanding of interplay between chemistry, microfluidics, production processes, and biology to identify root causes, troubleshoot, and implement solutions.
Plan and execute experiments, maintain records, analyze data, and present results clearly.
Write protocols, develop procedures, and maintain accurate records.
Communicate results to support critical design decisions.
Travel may be required up to 10%.
