Job summary

10x Genomics is seeking a Scientist to join the Process Development team to support the development and commercial launch of new products. You will work across Chemistry, Microfluidics, Custom Plastic Consumables, and Assay Development to develop, optimize, validate, and transfer new chemistries and processes for producing 10x reagents and consumables.

You will troubleshoot product deviations, plan experiments, maintain records, and present results to inform design decisions.

Qualifications

PhD in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with 0–3 years of industry experience.
Ability to integrate a broad range of scientific and engineering disciplines.
Ability to design meaningful experiments and analyze results.
Experience with statistical tools for process control is a plus.
Strong documentation and ability to communicate designs and results.

Responsibilities

Develop understanding of chemistry, microfluidics, production processes, and biology to identify root causes of deviations and implement solutions.
Plan and execute experiments, maintain detailed records, perform data analysis, and present results.
Write protocols and procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
Communicate results clearly and contribute data for key design decisions.
Job may require travel up to 10% international.
