Trex Company, Winchester, VA, seeks an engineer with a BS in engineering and 3+ years of product and process development experience. You will lead safety‑focused process development, prototype equipment, and drive manufacturing improvements in collaboration with internal and external partners.

The role offers a base salary of $83,000 to $100,000 per year, plus potential annual bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in engineering discipline and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Project management experience in product and process development preferred.
• Commitment to safety and integrity in process development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and foster our “people first” culture.
• Develop proof of concept and prototype equipment/processes
• Develop prototypes into viable manufacturing processes
• Perform trials in partnership with both internal and external resources to support the above objectives
• Support change management processes and procedures
• Use technical knowledge to design, troubleshoot, and optimize new and existing processes
• Use data to drive decisions on process design and optimization
• Design for safety by keeping employee safety, equipment design, and material hazards at the forefront of process development
• Work with equipment suppliers and vendors to vet out new and innovative process technologies
• Investigate new and emerging technologies that can be leveraged to develop innovative processes
