Job summary

Amgen in New Albany, Ohio, is seeking an Engineer I - Process Development to support the development and implementation of technical solutions for FDP commercial GMP operations. The role blends project management with hands-on engineering across process, equipment, and validation areas.

The position emphasizes coordinating complex, non-routine projects while applying diverse engineering principles to optimize scale-up, production, and process characterization in a GMP setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent required in a relevant field.
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of GMP experience.
• Associate’s degree and 6 years of GMP experience.
• High school diploma and 8 years of GMP experience.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: support Technical Transfer of Amgen portfolio to AOH and drive technical improvements.
• Technical Support: act as SME for FDP GMP operations, equipment design, testing and validation.
• Operational Excellence: improve productivity, throughput and capacity across manufacturing lines.
• Relationships: build FDP expertise network across Amgen sites to support equipment design and validation.
