Job summary

Gore in Elkton, Maryland is seeking a Process Development Engineer to lead the development, scale-up, and validation of manufacturing processes focused on material expansion, compression, coating, and lamination technologies.

You will collaborate across product development, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and external partners to translate product requirements into robust, scalable process solutions and support commercialization of new products in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or comparable Engineering field.
• 3+ years in R&D process development, scale-up or validation.
• Experience with external manufacturers, suppliers, or partners.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development and scale-up with defined process windows.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing to align product, material, and process needs.
• Collaborate with product development, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and external partners.
• Plan and execute experiments, scale-up, validation and sample delivery.
• Identify equipment and process capability needs with engineering partners.
