Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or comparable Engineering degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in R&D process development, scale-up, or validation.
• Experience with external manufacturers, suppliers, or partners.
• Competence in web handling and process mapping between materials, conditions, and product performance.
• Understanding of design for manufacturing principles.
• Strong data analysis, experimental execution, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate product requirements into specifications.
• Ability to work hands-on and manage priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead process development and scale-up, defining process windows and material-process relationships.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing principles to align product, material, process, and manufacturing requirements.
• Partner with product development engineers on prototyping, process development, and commercialization.
• Serve as a key technical interface with manufacturing teams, external partners, and suppliers.
• Plan and execute experiments, process trials, scale-up, validation, and sample delivery.
• Troubleshoot material and process issues with manufacturing, quality, and supplier partners.
• Align technical requirements and manufacturing readiness across cross-functional teams.
• Analyze and document results, specifications, validation outcomes, and recommendations.
• Identify equipment and process capability needs with engineering partners.
• Assess manufacturing capacity, supplier capability, process risk, and commercialization readiness.
