Helion is seeking a Chemical Engineer – Process Controls in Charleston, WV to optimize and control complex chemical processes using modern automation systems. Grow with a Fortune 100 company while contributing to safety, quality and production improvements.
The role welcomes recent graduates with co-op or internship experience as well as engineers with up to 5 years of experience, offering full-time status, competitive pay and benefits in a on-site work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 0–5 years of engineering experience; co-op or internship experience preferred.
- Strong grasp of mass and energy balances, unit operations and process dynamics.
Responsabilités
- Monitor, analyze and improve control strategies for chemical processes.
- Tune control loops and support advanced control applications.
- Use DCS and process data to troubleshoot problems and find improvements.
- Develop and update control narratives, P&IDs and operating documentation.
- Support process hazard analyses (PHA), MOC and process safety programs.
- Work with operations, controls and maintenance teams to solve plant issues.
- Support projects, startups and process changes.
