Job summary

Milliken & Company in Gainesville, FL, seeks a plant Control Systems Technician to maintain and upgrade PLC/DCS hardware and software, including Siemens PCS7 and legacy platforms. You will configure OT networks, update documentation, and support operations daily.

You will train operators, partner with Engineering and Health/Safety teams, and lead projects to improve reliability, safety, and performance of the control systems.

Qualifications

Associate degree in electrical/chemical engineering or CS; bachelor preferred.
2+ years programming DCS systems such as Siemens PCS7 or DeltaV.
Willingness to work outside regular hours for urgent issues.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on support for plant instrumentation and control systems.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and OT network issues to ensure continuous plant operations.
Lead control system upgrade projects from planning to commissioning.
Configure and maintain OT architecture including servers, networks, I/O, and HMI.
Maintain engineering documentation (P&IDs, diagrams).
Train engineers and operators on control systems and safety protocols.
Support HAC and change management related to control systems.
