Job summary

IFF is seeking a Process Controls Engineer for its Memphis, TN site. This onsite role leads plant automation, controls systems, and electrical infrastructure improvements to drive reliability and performance.

You will design and maintain PLC/HMI/PID/VFD systems, troubleshoot issues, and lead capital projects with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field and 5+ years of manufacturing experience, with strong knowledge of P&IDs and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related ABET-accredited field.
5+ years of experience in automation, process control, or electrical engineering in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in PLC programming, HMI configuration, and process control troubleshooting.
Experience reading P&IDs and electrical drawings.
Experience leading capital projects and system upgrades.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical lead for plant automation and electrical infrastructure.
Design, program, and maintain PLC, HMI, PID, and VFD systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve control issues to improve reliability.
Lead capital projects including control system upgrades and migrations.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and operations to meet goals.
Lead investigations into process control incidents and ensure corrective actions.
