ATI is seeking to hire a Process Controls and Automation Engineer to support our new manufacturing facility in Pageland, SC. Relocation assistance is available.

As a Process Control and Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes through designing, configuring, implementing, supporting, and integrating process control and automation systems. You will develop process control applications and provide operational support and troubleshooting expertise to maintain current production equipment and operations.

A successful candidate will quickly develop a strong understanding of the Bakers North Facility to identify and implement efficient methods to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability through technical innovation and lead maintenance operations.

Essential Functions

• Analyze and troubleshoot challenges, recommending continuous improvement strategies.
• Apply advanced engineering principles and process control strategies to improve automation system efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process control models and strategies.
• Support capital projects, process evaluation, and project modifications.
• Maintain and develop process documentation.
• Interface with equipment suppliers to understand their operation and control systems.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with exposure to Automation, Programming, and control systems theory.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical process controls, automation, or electrical controls and instrumentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLC Control Systems.
• Controls Systems PE or Electrical PE license.
