Adecco (Portugal) is assisting a global aerospace manufacturer in hiring a Process Control Leader to oversee manufacturing performance in a complex investment casting operation. You will drive process optimization, quality improvements, and operational excellence across critical processes.

The role emphasizes leading technical teams, implementing SPC/Lean Six Sigma, and advancing data analytics and AI to improve efficiency, scrap reduction, and yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Previous leadership experience leading engineers, technical teams, or process owners.
• Strong background in process improvement, root cause analysis, and manufacturing optimization.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, AS9100, and NADCAP standards is highly preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Process Owners responsible for key manufacturing processes including wax, shell, casting, heat treat, braze, core removal, and post-cast processing.
• Define and execute process control strategies that improve quality, reduce variation, and drive operational performance.
• Establish and monitor critical process metrics, KIVs, and KOVs to improve first-pass yield and reduce scrap and rework.
• Champion Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and data-driven decision making.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on cost reduction, productivity, quality enhancement, and cycle time improvement.
• Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and leadership teams to ensure compliance with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.
• Expand the use of data analytics and AI to improve manufacturing process control and operational performance.
• Lead capital projects from concept through production implementation.
