Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. offers a best-in-class internship program for students and new graduates interested in the steel industry. You will join as a Process Control Engineering Intern, tackling projects that vary by education level and plant location.

You will perform software development, hardware maintenance, automation system improvements, and collaborate with production, R&D, and other staff departments to deliver meaningful solutions.

Competenze

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related technical degree.

Mansioni

• Software development in a variety of programming languages and on a variety of hardware platforms
• Maintenance of computer hardware and software
• Maintenance and problem solving of all aspects of the automation system
• Modifications to the automation system to adapt to new products and processes
• Address issues that may impact production or system reliability
• Process modeling for mill processes of a chemical, metallurgical and mechanical nature
• Administration of a variety of Operating Systems and relational databases on workstations and servers
• Work with complex measurement systems, such as vision systems, thermal imaging, RFID/barcode tagging, X-ray and other gauging systems
• Work with networking technologies, high-speed data transmission, and specialty interfaces
• Close coordination with a production department
• Respond to routine and emergency requests
• Manage local area project, task, and priority lists
• Make recommendations for system and process improvements
• Work with vendors on products and performance issues
• Coordinating with Research and Development and other staff departments

Formazione

Bachelor of Science program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical degree

Completion of sophomore year by summer 2027
