Job summary

Global Cellulose Fibers in Oglethorpe, GA is seeking a Process Control Engineer to support daily controls in the Mill. You will work with Operators and Engineers to develop, tune, and implement control strategies that enhance safety, performance, and efficiency.

The role requires 3–5 years in process control, experience with Emerson DeltaV and Honeywell DCS, and strong leadership. Candidates should be adept at optimizing alarms, training staff, and supporting capital projects.

Qualifications

3–5 years of process control experience.
Experience with Emerson DeltaV and Honeywell DCS systems.
Strong understanding of control theory and application.
Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
BS degree in Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary daily process control support for the assigned mill area.
Develop, tune, and implement control strategies to improve safety, performance, profitability, and efficiency.
Collaborate with PCAT for maintenance, tuning, and enhancements; lead loop tuning efforts.
Improve performance metrics such as alarms and interventions; optimize control utilization.
Develop and maintain advanced process control applications and alarm databases.
Support capital and maintenance projects by defining control objectives and testing strategies.
Coordinate capital/expense projects with control scope and provide training materials.
