Job summary

INEOS Aromatics in Wando, SC, is seeking a Process Control Engineer to design and optimize DCS controls, support alarm management, and lead control-system projects. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Reliability to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency, while maintaining documentation and MOC processes.

The role requires a BS in a technical field, 3–5 years in manufacturing, and excellent English communication. On-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical discipline (Chemical or Electrical Engineering).
• 3-5 years in manufacturing.
• Excellent communications in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize DCS control strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Lead control system projects from concept to implementation.
• Support alarm management and reduce nuisance alarms.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Reliability teams.
• Participate in MOC reviews and document changes.
• Maintain Operator Training Simulators with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain process control docs (P&IDs, loop sheets, procedures).
• Create startup/shutdown procedures for DCS operators.
• Support process safety activities (HAZOP, risk assessments).
• Provide technical support for Honeywell Experion PKS hardware/software.
• Deliver training on new control strategies.
