Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Process Control Team Engineer to drive strategy and execution across two workstreams in North American Vehicle Operations. You will develop and implement advanced process control methods, update PFMEAs, and partner with PD, Quality, and VME to deliver robust, cost-effective solutions while minimizing risk and variation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related field).
• 3+ years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, or Product Development.
• Strong understanding of the APQP framework, specifically Control Plans, DFMEA, PFMEA, and managing Significant/Critical Characteristics

Responsibilities

• Analyze Significant and Critical Characteristics to enhance control plans.
• Develop engineering recommendations based on analysis and identify design/tooling enablers.
• Update PFMEAs and Control Plans to align with quality documents.
• Collaborate with PD, Quality, and VME for effective control methods and DRIs.
• Execute interim vs. permanent control strategies and secure exceptions as needed.
• Support auditing, creation and updating of PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Sheets.
• Deliver executive-level risk reduction metrics and project status reports.
• Maintain real-time dashboards (Power BI, QlikSense) across facilities.
