Actalent is seeking a Process Chemist in Madison, WI, to drive process chemistry and scale-up from laboratory development to manufacturing. You will lead technology transfer, optimize synthetic routes for small molecules, and support regulatory documentation in a highly collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes scale-up to 400 L–2000 L reactors and close interaction with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure safe, compliant production.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with extensive process chemistry and scale-up experience.
• Experience moving processes from lab to manufacturing scale.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (GLP, GMP).

Responsibilities

• Scale synthetic routes from lab to pilot and commercial manufacturing.
• Develop safe, robust chemical processes for transfer to manufacturing.
• Train operators on process execution and safety.
• Analyze NMR and MS data to confirm structures and performance.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing for implementation.
