Job summary

Veranova in West Deptford, NJ is seeking a Process Chemist to support the transfer, scale-up, optimization, and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes from laboratory development to commercial production. Independently design and execute laboratory studies and multi-step syntheses to improve process robustness, yield, quality, and efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support technology transfer, process validation, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or related field with 0–2 years of industrial or academic experience preferred
• M.S. in Organic Chemistry or related field with 3+ years of API manufacturing or related experience preferred
• B.S. in Chemistry or related field with 5+ years of relevant industrial API manufacturing experience required
• Hands-on experience in multi-step organic synthesis at gram to multi-gram scale
• Proficiency with LC-MS, HPLC, and NMR for reaction monitoring and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Review laboratory development work for technology transfers and new/improved processes
• Collaborate with Process R&D, Engineering, AR&D, QC, and Quality to support transfers and methods
• Plan and execute lab, pilot-scale, and commercial-scale campaigns to assess reproducibility and manufacturability
• Support process characterization studies and define CPPs/CQAs and operating ranges
• Identify Critical Process Parameters, CQAs, and process risks
• Prepare and review technical reports, batch records, SOPs, and validation documents
• Participate in investigations and CAPA verification
• Support audits and regulatory inspections (FDA and others)
