Job summary

OceanaGold is seeking a capable Process Controls Engineer to maintain and enhance the Haile Gold Operation's control systems. You will manage PLCs, HMI, data acquisition, and communications networks, improving plant stability and performance.

You will mentor plant technical staff, implement version control and backup strategies, and work with electrical/instrumentation teams to optimize control system strategies for expansion projects and plant improvements.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in process control systems.
• Experience with SCADA and PLC platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop control systems for the Haile Gold Operation.
• Monitor and optimize control system performance for plant stability.
• Provide mentoring to process plant technical staff.
• Develop systems for version control, data backup and recovery.
• Assist in development of control strategies for plant improvement projects.
