Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. is seeking a Procedure Writer/Coordinator for IPS ITPM in Texas to develop and standardize Instrumented Protective System procedures used by plant personnel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced coursework preferred.
• 5+ years of petrochemical industry experience.
• Ability to interpret highly technical information and translate into procedures for non-technical staff.
• Experience with SAP or CMMS for preventive maintenance scheduling.
• AutoCAD experience/certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create IPS ITPM procedures compliant with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
• Standardize existing IPS ITPM procedures to new requirements.
• Collaborate with IPS Coordinators, maintenance technicians, and operations to ensure procedures fit operations.
• Field verify IPS instrumentation for PSI accuracy, required technical information, and hazards.
• Determine content to ensure reliability and personnel safety during ITPM.
• Revise/remove IPS ITPM procedures as lifecycle progresses.
• Submit information to create equipment records and preventive maintenance plans in SAP.
• Redline and update PSI; coordinate scheduling and testing of IPS ITPM.
• Assist with closing gaps to regulatory and company codes as required.
• Review plant equipment for inclusion in the instrumented mechanical integrity program.

Procedure Writer/Coordinator - IPS ITPM page is loaded## Procedure Writer/Coordinator - IPS ITPMlocations: Cedar Bayou, TXtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: 2026-001068# What You'll Be Doing**Job Scope:** Generally responsible for creating Instrumented Protective System (IPS) inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance (ITPM) procedures for use my plant maintenance personnel in ensuring full-functionality and reliability of IPS**Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:*** Ensure IPS ITPM procedures are in compliance with applicable regulatory, industry, and company codes and standards such as and Required Manufacturing Standard, Lifecycle Management of Instrumented Protective Systems.* Standardize the existing IPS ITPM procedures with the new requirements* Work with facility IPS Coordinators, I/E/A Maintenance Technicians, and Operations Representatives to ensure the IPS ITPM procedures can be performed as written without significant affects to plant operations* Field verify IPS instrumentation for:+ PSI accuracy;+ Applicable technical information required for the ITPM procedures, and;+ Physical hazards to be identified in the associated procedures.* Determine the best procedure content to ensure equipment reliability and personnel safety during the ITPM process* Revise and/or remove IPS ITPM procedures as required throughout the IPS lifecycle* Review and submit information required to create equipment records and preventative maintenance plans in SAP* Redline and update PSI, as required* Coordinate the scheduling and testing of IPS ITPM, as required* Assist with the closure of gaps with applicable regulatory, industry, and company codes and standards, as required* Reviewing plant equipment for inclusion in the instrumented mechanical integrity program# Ideal Background**Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
