Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients across ages with a team-based approach.

The role requires Iowa RN license, BLS certification within six weeks, completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months, and the ability to read, write, and speak English. Shift: Day, full-time; rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages.
• Use a team approach to delegate and coordinate patient care at admission, transfer and discharge.
• Deliver nursing care independently per the Nurse Practice Act and Mercy policies.
• Work rotating day shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
