Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Procedure Suites team. You will deliver individualized cancer patient care within established guidelines and the nursing practice model, utilizing the nursing process from preoperative to post-recovery stages.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (or ADN with relevant experience), FL RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS is preferred. Hours are 6:30 am–5:00 pm with 4 ten-hour shifts; no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing required.
• RN licensure in Florida required or eligible.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year OR Circulator/Scrub experience.
• Procedural nursing experience in ambulatory/outpatient settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
• Integrates patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into practice.
• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient.
• Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice.
• Participates in professional development based on the nursing professionals standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.
