Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PreOp Holding unit. The role delivers individualized nursing care to cancer patients in line with hospital guidelines and our Professional Practice Model.

Requirements include a BSN (or ADN with 1 year experience), Florida RN license, BLS and ACLS. The nurse will apply the nursing process, educate patients and families, and participate in professional development and quality-improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and EKG credentials.
• Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing; in lieu of Bachelor, an Associate's degree in Nursing plus 1 year of relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient.
• Participates in evidence-based improvement activities related to area of practice.
• Participates in professional development based on nursing professional standards and regulatory requirements.
