Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ARRT registration in CT or registry eligible; must obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Must maintain continued education hours.
• Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the exam.
• Review requisitions and patient history to select appropriate examination methods.
• Perform CT scans and set up equipment to obtain diagnostic information.
• Control equipment parameters to obtain proper images and reduce radiation exposure.
• Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors.
• Assist Radiologist with complex sterile procedures such as biopsies.
• Document procedures and ensure image delivery and indexing in PACS and RIS.
