Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT registration and CT advanced registration or eligibility; must obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Must maintain required hours of continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Explain examination procedure to patients and prepare them for CT.
• Review requisition data and obtain patient history as needed.
• Set up equipment and perform CT scan with proper technique.
• Administer intravenous contrast media when required.
• Assist Radiologist with procedures such as biopsies.
• Maintain radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Operate PACS/RIS, ensure accurate image delivery and study indexing.
• Document in medical records and Radiology Information System.
