Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT registration or registry eligibility within 12 months of hire.
• Healthcare Provider BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare for examinations.
• Review requisitions and obtain necessary patient history.
• Set up equipment, perform radiologic procedures, and use proper positioning.
• Apply ALARA principles and dose-reduction techniques during imaging.
• Maintain sterile technique, infection control, and proper supplies.
• Document in medical records and radiology information system.
• Support education of new staff and students when needed.
• Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality PACS delivery.
• Index studies in RIS from start to finish.
• Review clinical protocols with radiologists before studies.
