Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field and 3 years of probation officer experience or 1 year as an Assistant Supervisor/Probation Officer II.
• Proven problem solving, decision making, and independent judgement abilities.
• Management, coaching, and leadership skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Commitment to public safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop officers to ensure compliant community supervision under policy.
• Train, develop, and discipline staff; promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Implement Evidence Based Practices with fidelity and QA.
• Conduct performance evaluations and improvement plans with staff.
• Assign defendants to appropriate programs and monitor supervision contacts.
• Audit caseloads, analyze reports, and ensure investigations and court duties are met.
• Lead meetings and support sound case management decisions.
• Coordinate operations in administrator's absence and manage office tasks.
• Establish partnerships with stakeholders and community organizations.
• Travel to supervise caseloads and maintain driver eligibility.
