Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to one year of full-time professional level experience in probation/parole, counseling, social work, investigative or legal fields.
• Graduate coursework or related experience may substitute for education/experience as described in the notice.
• Full-time related professional experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
• This position requires completing the TDOC Academy and online training upon appointment.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active caseload and maintain offender records and monthly documentation.
• Conduct home, vehicle, and personal searches as required by TDOC policy to ensure compliance.
• Interview offenders regularly to evaluate progress and ensure adherence to conditions.
• Prepare and deliver pre-hearing and pre-release investigations; testify in court when needed.
• Utilize state, local, and federal databases to obtain updated offender information.
