Job summary

The Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections - Corrections Services is seeking a district Probation & Parole Administrator in Thibodaux. The role supervises professional and clerical staff and coordinates probation and parole services for offenders under supervision.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in probation or parole or related fields plus one of the following options.
• Three years in corrections or law enforcement or six years in any field, or a bachelor's degree.
• Three years of experience plus a master's degree in counseling/psychology/social work/education/business/public administration or criminal justice field.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates Probation & Parole staff delivering services.
• Formulates policies and procedures at district level and interprets regulations.
• Maintains liaison with sheriffs, police chiefs, district attorneys and other officials.
