Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review case files for completeness; seek missing information and identify potential complications (family info, inventory, will disputes).
• Update docketing system, maintain case status, and schedule hearings with the judge.
• Prepare probate hearing notices and postings; assist in hearings by recording proceedings and verifying addresses.
• Review hearing records to aid judge in determining sufficiency of evidence.
• Draft probate decisions and review others' draft orders for errors.
• Guide and assist legal assistants with tasks like scanning and mailings.
• Prepare case-related correspondence and assist with timekeeping, purchasing, and bill-paying.
