Job summary

Modern IT is seeking a senior MSP technologist to align client infrastructure with standards and drive proactive service days. You will benchmark LAN/WAN configurations, review findings with clients, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Ideal candidates have hands-on infrastructure experience in MSP environments, strong client communication, and the ability to translate findings into business risk and ROI. Onsite with client visits in hybrid La Verne, CA.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience (LAN/WAN, servers, endpoints, RMM and security tooling) in an MSP or equivalent environment.
• Ability to benchmark systems against standards and translate findings into client-facing risk and business value.
• Strong documentation skills – SOPs, checklists, and a technical library kept current.

Responsibilities

• Benchmark client LAN/WAN and configurations against MSP/industry standards using benchmarking platform.
• Run client meetings and deliver the Service Day Deliverable with proactive recommendations.
• Close misalignments to reduce tickets per endpoint and improve resolution times.
• Build and maintain client technical documentation library and SOPs.
