Peregrine Hospitality in Blacksburg, VA, is seeking an Engineer to handle repair, maintenance, upkeep, and service requests per hotel standards. The role also supports other Engineering areas as assigned by management.

Core duties include preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas, coordination with Housekeeping and Front Office, and safe, organized task execution. The position requires proactive communication and adherence to safety protocols.

Formación

• Experience maintaining hotel facilities and performing preventive maintenance.
• Ability to interpret work orders and coordinate with departments.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and prioritize daily work assignments from the Director of Engineering, coordinating projects with relevant departments such as Housekeeping and Front Office.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair tasks in guest rooms and public areas, including painting, wallpaper installation, furniture refinishing, and resolving guest service requests.
• Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and materials to ensure safe, efficient operations and compliance with hotel safety standards (e.g., OSHA requirements).
• Conduct regular rounds to inspect the property for maintenance needs, cleanliness, safety hazards, and necessary touch-ups, addressing issues proactively.
• Respond to work orders and guest calls promptly and professionally, maintaining a high level of service and operational standards.
• Accurately complete required paperwork, update work orders, and communicate follow-up needs before finishing shifts.
• Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, including service, safety, attendance, and key security protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with teammates and other departments, performing additional duties or special projects as assigned by management to support overall hotel operations.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures.
• Perform all additional duties as assigned by management.
