Home2 Suites by Hilton - Blacksburg is seeking an Engineer to handle repair, maintenance, upkeep, and service requests in line with hotel standards. You will assist in other Engineering areas as needed.

The role requires coordinating with Housekeeping and Front Office, performing preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public spaces, and ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA guidelines. The position offers a $16 hourly rate and opportunities to contribute across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to prioritize tasks with limited supervision.
• Strong communication with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prioritize daily work assignments from the Director of Engineering, coordinating projects with Housekeeping and Front Office.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas, including painting and furniture refinishing.
• Organize and maintain tools, equipment, and materials for safe, efficient operations and OSHA safety compliance.
• Conduct regular property rounds to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and touch-ups.
• Respond to work orders and guest calls promptly, maintaining high service levels.
• Complete paperwork and update work orders, communicating follow-up needs.
