Job summary

DoubleTree Orlando Downtown is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Engineer to join its hotel engineering team in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on timely service calls, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.

The ideal candidate has hotel engineering experience, vocational training or related certifications, and the ability to read blueprints and operate building systems.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting and general building construction.
• Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or licensure where required.
• Understand and efficiently maintain and operate electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and take immediate corrective action.
• Follow procedures for repair, preventive maintenance, alteration and installation work.
• Comply with relevant codes and requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to complete work.
