Job summary

DoubleTree Orlando Downtown is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair hotel facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. The role requires strong communication, a proactive approach, and the ability to work with other trades to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Initial tasks include responding to service calls promptly, diagnosing issues, and executing preventive maintenance per hotel procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, and general building systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, and parts breakdowns.
• Strong verbal and written communication and self‑initiative.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within 30 minutes of notification.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, take corrective action, and document work orders.
• Perform repair, PM, alterations, and installations per departmental procedures.
• Comply with local, state, and federal codes and requirements.
• Coordinate with electricians, carpenters, painters, and night engineers on tasks.
