Job summary

Troon is seeking a part-time Pro Shop Attendant at Alhambra Golf Course in Alhambra, CA. Join a global leader in golf and community management.

You will handle clerk-like duties, reservations, and customer service. Golf knowledge is preferred; strong communication and reliability required. Hourly pay ranges from $16.90 to $17.50 with eligibility for benefits.

Responsibilities

• Process reservations for guests of the golf course.
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in.
• Arrange and display golf shop inventory as directed.
• Collect green and cart fees and process in the POS system as trained.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe workplace.
• Assist in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day.
• Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily.
• Assist with set-up of equipment and golf carts; perform related duties as assigned by Management Staff.
• Welcome and greet guests and players in a friendly manner.
• Explain rules and course etiquette to all groups as needed.
• Wash and sanitize golf cart fleet; maintain organized storage areas and practice facility.
• Assist with the set-up and organization of the golf carts and equipment for regular tee-time starts or outings.
• Facilitate orderly and timely pace of play of groups to prevent delay.
• Answer questions in a friendly manner and keep records of starting times as needed.
• Ensure that each group has four players if possible.
• Responsible for picking up and cleaning practice balls when scheduled.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:

$16.90 - $17.50 per hour based on experience

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

When acting as an \"Inside\" staff member:

• Perform clerk/cashier like duties
• Responsible for processing customer reservations for guests of the golf course
• Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process
• Arranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directed
• Collects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trained
• Assists in maintaining a clean, safe workplace

Responsible for welcoming and greeting guests and players in a friendly manner
