Job summary

Troon’s Burnham Woods Golf Course in Burnham, Illinois is seeking a seasonal part-time Cart Attendant to join our golf operations team. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, customer-focused, and available for closing shifts, weekends and holidays.

You will maintain the cart fleet, assist players, and help enforce course policies under supervision. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, with eligibility for healthcare and 401(k) benefits for qualifying hours.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer/guest orientation
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be dependable
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have a friendly personality and enjoy working with the public
• Working knowledge of the rules of golf is preferred
• Ability to learn and enforce course policies, rules, and regulations
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely

Responsibilities

• Maintains a professional appearance
• Brings carts from the cart barn in the morning and returns carts to the cart barn at the end of the day
• Cleans, waters, and checks carts after each use and restocks as required
• Cleans and maintains the cart barn
• Ensures carts are available for player use at all times
• Receives and communicates complaints to the Golf Shop
• Works closely with Golf Shop staff to prepare and conduct golf tournaments
• Implements and supports all course policies and programs as communicated by management
• Gas carts, wash and wax carts, clean all trash out of carts, and store and lock carts at the end of the day
• Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Must be able to work closing shifts and weekends
