Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a delivery driver to pick, stage and safely deliver auto parts to pro customers in Des Moines, IA. You will pick up returns, drop off sales flyers, and collect credit accounts while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.

You will build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, assist in upselling, maintain store cleanliness, stock inventory, and help walk-in customers identify the right parts.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and parts catalogs.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, sharing insights learned during deliveries.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot.
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts.
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
• Other duties as assigned.
