Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a delivery driver to pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers in a retail environment. You will also manage returns, assist with credit accounts, and promote current sales and loyalty programs.

The role requires professional communication, strong inventory knowledge and the ability to work days, evenings and weekends. Physical demands include lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work a variety of days, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Safety knowledge and skills.
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing CPP with insights learned while making deliveries.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot.
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts.
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
• Other duties as assigned
