Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is seeking In Home Aides, both CNA’s and experienced caregivers in Dorchester, Berkeley and Charleston Counties. Visiting Angels is a national, private duty network of home care agencies and the nation's leading provider of non-medical senior home care services. Work part-time, days, evenings, weekends, and occasionally overnights. Provides personal one-on-one care to the client.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance

Must adhere to plans of care for client

Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs

One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred

Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff

Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status

Pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

Assist clients with ambulation and mobility

Medication reminders

Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions

Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments

Perform light housekeeping duties for the client

Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion

Skills

One year proven experience as a in-home caregiver (Preferred)

Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available

Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred

Knowledge of housekeeping activities

Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

Respectful and compassionate

Good time management skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

NO CNA LICENSE REQUIRED!
