Job summary

Visiting Angels is a nationwide private duty home care network offering non-medical senior care. We provide one-on-one care in clients' homes across Dorchester, Berkeley and Charleston counties. No CNA license required, with a focus on compassionate, attentive service for seniors who wish to remain independent at home.

We offer part-time shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and overnights. Benefits include in-house training, flexible scheduling, and ongoing training and development within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in in-home caregiving preferred.
• CPR certification and excellent communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance.
• Remind about medications and monitor wellness.
• Prepare light meals per dietary needs.
• Transport to errands, appointments, and social activities.
• Perform light housekeeping and companionship.

Visiting Angels, America’s Choice in Homecare, is seeking In Home Aides, both CNA’s and experienced caregivers in Dorchester, Berkeley and Charleston Counties. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Valid driver's license, working vehicle, commuting required and current, up-to-date insurance


• Must adhere to plans of care for client


• Must have flexibility with schedules per client needs


• One year of in-home, caregiver experience preferred


• Must have good communication skills, have active listening, between clients/families and staff


• Must be able to be calm in emergent situations and inform staff of any changes to client status


• Pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility


• Medication reminders


• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene


• Prepare light meals according to dietary restrictions


• Transportation to and from shops, pharmacy or appointments


• Perform light housekeeping duties for the client


• Be a pleasant, engaging, and supportive companion

Skills

• One year proven experience as a in-home caregiver (Preferred)


• Knowledge and demonstration of DME such as hoyer lift, wheelchairs, transfer bench, walker/training is available


• Excellent knowledge of emergency response, CPR preferred


• Knowledge of housekeeping activities


• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards


• Respectful and compassionate


• Good time management skills


• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
